    A Wednesday evening accident on the east edge of Neligh resulted in the death of Steven Binkerd, a Holt County sheriff's deputy. Binkerd's 2012 GMC Sierra pickup slid off the highway around 10:15, Feb. 12, a half-mile east of Neligh, according to the Antelope County Sheriff's Office. The initial investigation showed Binkerd, 41, was driving west on the highway when he drifted slightly onto the shoulder.
