    On the advice of county attorney Joe Smith, Antelope County Commissioners approved an Inter-local Agreement with Brown County for 911 calls and dispatch services through the Antelope County Sheriff’s Office. Approval was granted Tuesday, during the commissioners' meeting at the Antelope County Courthouse in Neligh. The Inter-local Agreement will last for a limited time until Brown County fills vacancies in their sheriff’s department. All cost of services will be paid for by Brown County.     Orchard Public Library representatives made its budget presentation to Orchard Village trustees during the Aug. 12 board meeting. Library director Donna Hamilton and library board member Amanda Shabram requested $21,000 - $1,750 monthly - for the 2024-2025 budget.     The Orchard Public Library started summer reading on May 22. "It was a whirlwind of fun and adventure for everyone," said library director Donna Hamilton. The library had received a grant through the Nebraska Library Commission for interns this year. Preslie Robertson and Lydia Robertson filled the intern role.
