Village trustees discussed the proposed site durings its Aug. 11 meeting and agreed that the State of Nebraska Department of Roads will need to verify and approve the distance from Highway 20 to the memorial prior to removal of any trees in the park area.
American Legion Post #136 members are spearheading the drive. Fundraising is currently underway.
