  • Orchard garbage rates see 12% price hike

    Orchard residents will see an increase in garbage disposal rates when the next utility bill hits their mailboxes. Village clerk Brenda Harrison said trustees approved Resolution No. 1-15-2024, which raised garbage costs during its Jan. 15 meeting. The new rate, an increase of 12%, went into effect Feb. 1.     Clearwater's Planning Commission will meet March 4 to make a recommendation about a building permit application for a local daycare.     Jose A. Trejo Jr., 19, of O’Neill appeared in the Holt County courtroom in O’Neill on Feb. 13 on two cases. In the first, he had previously pleaded guilty and was fined $300 for possession of marijuana and $100 for possession of drug paraphernalia, both committed Oct. 29, in O’Neill, as well as $49 costs.
