Clearwater Public Schools, former home of Summerland Public Schools, is owned by Educational Service Unit #8, Neligh, Nebraska. As of June 15, 2021 they will be the rightful owners of the school and will move their campus from Neligh, to Clearwater. This larger school will allow them to offer more classes and even have many more students.

Ewing Public Schools is a PreK - 12 school located in Ewing, Nebraska. Principal, Greg Appleby ran the school for many years as Ewing Public Schools with a sports Co-Op with Chambers Public Schools. In 2019 Clearwater, Ewing, and Orchard joined together to from Summerland Public Schools with Orchard Public Schools and Clearwater Public Schools. They first began by combining sports in 2019, then with Fine Arts after a bond passed to build a new school in 2020, and offically became the Summerland Bobcats. The school will no longer be a school on June 15th, and will be property of Summerland Public Schools as their back up location if the Summerland Site is not finished. (Published June 10th, 2021)

Orchard Public Schools, apart of the Summerland School District and formerly of NE Unified District #1, is a school located in Orchard, Nebraska. In 1999 Clearwater, Orchard, and Verdigre formed a Unified School District and remained in this district until June 5, of 2020 when Ewing, Orchard, and Clearwater formed a new districted called Summerland School District. In 2009, the towns of Clearwater & Orchard began co-oping their sports together. They reorganized under unification and combined their 5-8 grades into one middle school in Orchard, and their 9-12 grads in Clearwater High School in 2011. In 2017, Clearwater and Orchard ended their organization but remained a part of the NE Unified District #1. Orchard Public School remained under unification until June 6, 2020. In November of 2019, a bond was passed that allowed Clearwater, Ewing, and Orchard to become Summerland Public Schools.

Administrative staff are currently working in the school during the summer, but the school will be unoccupied by administrative staff from fall of 2021 to forever.

Summerland Public Schools was originally created when a bond passed to build a new school in November of 2019. The local communities of Clearwater, Ewing, and Orchard joined together to create one new school called Summerland Public Schools. The Summerland Bobcats sports have been running since 2020, and fine arts joined together in 2021. The new school is currently being built (published May 27, 2021), and the Ewing school is the back-up option if the new school is not done. Clearwater's school sold to ESU8, and Orchard's to their community.

The former principal at Clearwater, Mr. Mike Sanne, officially resigned in 2021 and continuted on his educational path as Superintendent at Boyd County Schools for the 2021-2022 school year. The former Orchard Principal, Mrs. Cathy Cooper, accepted the position of Elementary Principal at Summerland Public Schools for the new school year. Ewing's former principal, Mr. Greg Appleby accepted the position of High School Principal at Summerland Public Schools for the new school year. NE Unified District #1 former superintendent, Mr. Dale Martin, tendered his resignation and will officially retire from education after the 2020-2021 school year. Mr. Greg Finke, the former Battle Creek Elementary Principal, accepted the position of Superintendent for the 2021-2022 school year.

Thoendel Learning Center is a education center located in Ewing, Nebraska that offers the Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program to clients 8 years old and up. This program is a one-week, intensive, goal-oriented program that is designed for the visual-spatial learner. Clients will leave with amazing new skills such as; focusing techniques, understanding how to resolve confusion with letters, phonics, and symbols, improved balance and coordination, and reading comprehension and expression. The program offers solutions for learning difficulties including; Dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, Reading Disability, Language-Based Learning Disability, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Anxiety Processing Disorder, and Visual Processing Disorder.
