Summerland seeded fourth in conference volleyball tourney

Niobrara Valley Conference volleyball tournament action begins Monday, Oct. 17, with games slated to be played at Summerland, St. Mary',s Elgin Pope John and Stuart.
The Lady Bobcats enter as the fourth seed in the event, with games scheduled over three days.
At Summerland, Elkhorn Valley enters as the fifth seed. They will face Santee, seeded 12th, at 6:15 on Oct. 17. The winner of the match will play Summerland at 7:30 p.m..
North Central will square off against Boyd County, Monday, at 6:15 at St. Mary's. The teams begin tournament play as the eighth and ninth seeds, respectively. The winner will play the top-seeded St. Mary's at 7:30 p.m.
At Stuart, the seventh-seeded Niobrara/Verdigre squad will play Neligh-Oakdale at 6:15 p.m. The Lady Warriors enter as the 10th seed. The victor will meet the second-seeded Stuart Lady Broncos at 7:30 p.m.
West Holt enters as the sixth seed and will face CWC, seeded 11th, at 6:15 at Elgin Pope John. The match winner will meet Elgin Public/Pope John, the second seed.
Semifinal games will take place at St. Mary's, Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 6:15 and 7:30 p.m.
Championship and runner-up matches will be played Friday, Oct. 21, at Summerland. The consolation match will begin at 6:15, followed by the championship game at 7:30 p.m.
