Seven 18- to 20-year-old defendants and a 17-year-old juvenile appeared in the Antelope County courtroom Wednesday, May 18, on charges of possession of alcoholic beverages by minors.

The adult defendants all waived their rights to counsel and pleaded guilty to the Class 3 misdemeanors. Cameron D. Adkisson, 19, of Amelia, Parker R. Heiss, 19, of Page, Turner N. Jussel, 19, of Ewing, Wade T. Kaczor, 19, of Page, Javis A. Klabenes, 20, of Atkinson, Tyler L. Larby, 18, of Atkinson and Brenna M. Wagner, 19, of Clearwater were each fined $300 and taxed $50 costs by the Honorable Donna Taylor.

The juvenile appeared with her attorney, Ashley Boettcher of O’Neill, and denied the charge. Her next hearing is set June 1, as is a first appearance for a second juvenile charged with the same offense.

The citations were issued April 30 by an Antelope County deputy at a rural residence, south of Highway 20 in eastern Antelope County.
