The Honorable Donna Taylor continued two cases in the Antelope County Court in Neligh last Wednesday, due to a health-related lockdown at the county jail.

A pretrial hearing for Jonathyn M. Gunderson, 32, of Neligh, on seven counts alleged Nov. 9, is continued to Jan. 5. Gunderson, who was in custody, did not appear personally. The Antelope County Jail was “in lockdown due to COVID issues,” according to a court document. Bond in the amount of $3,000, 10% cash, is continued as well. Additionally, Taylor ordered that Gunderson be released from jail Dec. 23, on a $4,000 personal recognizance bond if he had not yet bonded out.

Gunderson is accused of, Count I, driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense, a Class W misdemeanor; Count II, refusal to submit to chemical test, also a Class W misdemeanor; Count III, obstructing a police officer, a Class 1 misdemeanor; Count IV, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, a Class 2 misdemeanor; Count V, operating a vehicle during suspension, a Class 3 misdemeanor; Count VI, careless driving, an infraction; and Count VII, possession of open alcohol container, also an infraction. Gunderson is represented by Antelope County public defender Melissa Figueroa.

Hearings, in two cases for Aaron White, 47, of Coleridge, were also continued. White, represented by Figueroa, did not appear, due to the lockdown. In the first case, White is accused of a Class 3 misdemeanor, second-degree trespassing, alleged Oct. 4. Bond, in the amount of $10,000, 10%, is continued. He is accused of a Class 3A felony, making terroristic threats Nov. 19, in the second case. Bond for $100,000, 10% cash, is continued.

Amy E. Ferguson, 33 of Royal, was granted continuance, to Feb. 2, 2022, for preliminary hearing on a Class 3A felony count, intentional child abuse, no injury. She is also charged with two Class 1 misdemeanor counts, third-degree assault and negligent child abuse, no injury. The crimes allegedly took place Oct. 24. A juvenile case is also continued. Ferguson is represented by Figueroa.

Kathy S. Genia, 65, of Veblen, South Dakota, was granted continuance of her preliminary hearing on a Class 4 felony count, possession of hashish, alleged Sept. 11, along with two additional misdemeanor counts contained in an amended complaint filed by Abler on Nov. 29, driving under the influence of drugs and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana. Taylor continued the hearing to Jan. 5. A $1,500 personal recognizance bond is continued. Genia is represented by Figueroa.

A bench trail for Angela Flores, of Neligh, on a City of Neligh junk ordinance violation alleged Aug. 1, is continued to Jan. 19. A warrant for Flores’ arrest, issued Nov. 17 when she failed to appear for trial, was served Nov. 21. Bond, posted the same day, in the amount of $1,500, 10%, is continued as well. She is self-represented.

Further arraignment for Richard C. Jelich Jr., 27, of Neligh is continued to Jan. 5. Jelich is charged with two counts alleged Nov. 29 at 405 N Street in Neligh, disturbing the peace, a Class 3 misdemeanor, and criminal mischief, a Class 2 misdemeanor. Bond is also continued, in the amount of $5,000, 10%. Jelich requested court-appointed counsel. Taylor found him indigent and appointed Figueroa.

Pretrial hearing for Andrew J. Clifton, 43, of Orchard is continued to Jan. 5, 2022, on three counts alleged June 22, Count I, leave scene of property-damage accident, and counts II and III, willful reckless driving. He is represented by court-appointed counsel, Martin Klein of Neligh.

Pretrial hearing for Dustin W. Rosberg, 33, of Petersburg is continued to Jan. 5, on Count I, DUI, first offense, a Class W misdemeanor, and Count II, possession of an open alcohol container, an infraction, both alleged July 25 on Nebraska Highway 45. Bond posted July 25, in the amount of $1,500, 10%, is continued as well. Rosberg is represented by Ron Temple of Norfolk.

Pretrial hearing for Anthony Williams, 30, of Wayne is continued to Jan. 5. Bond posted June 30, in the amount of $4,000, 10%, is continued as well. Williams is accused of four counts, alleged June 27 at a Clearwater concert, counts I and II, third-degree assault, Class 1 misdemeanors; Count III, obstruct government operations, also a Class 1 misdemeanor; and Count IV, disturbing the peace, a Class 3 misdemeanor. He is represented by Figueroa.
