Before attending the National Leadership and Skills Competition, the Summerland Chapter team earned first place at the Nebraska State Leadership and Skills Championship, which took place April 9 -11, in Grand Island, Nebraska. The Summerland Chapter team, consisting of team members Max Shrader, Dawson McLain, and Corbin Schueth, was the only team that attended the state competition.
