Pet clinics planned in Ewing, Page

Residents in the Holt County communities of Ewing and Page will have an opportunity to have pets immunized during upcoming pet clinics.

Amy Halsey, DVM, from Chambers, will be available in Ewing, Wednesday, May 8, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Ewing City Office.

On Wednesday, May 15, Halsey will be in Page, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the fire hall.

Village clerks will be available both evenings to license pets.

All animals within village limits are required to be licensed.

Animals should be brought on a leash or in a carrier to minimize the disruption among animals.

Per state law, rabies vaccinations are required every three years for dogs over one year of age. Cats are required to receive a rabies vaccination every year, per state statute.

Distemper vaccinations are recommended for both types of pets. A feline leukemia vaccination is recommended annually, especially for cats that live outdoors.

Payment will be required on the day of service. Check payment will be accepted, payable to Chambers Veterinary Services. Cash payment will also be accepted.
