Santa will visit Clearwater, Saturday, during the town's old-fashioned Christmas celebration.

Clearwater will kick off the holiday season with its annual old-fashioned Christmas, Sunday, Dec. 4.

Soup, sandwiches, desserts and drinks will be served between 5 and 8 p.m., at the American Legion.

Donations to the Antelope County Food Pantry will be accepted. Canned items may be dropped off at the event.

Santa Claus will make an appearance, so youngsters are urged to bring a wish list to share with jolly old St. Nick.

Sleigh rides will be available on Main Street throughout the evening.

Clearwater Public Library will offer several activities for youngsters. A make-and-take craft table will be set up, with age-appropriate holiday crafts.

The library will sponsor a cake walk, with proceeds to go toward library programming and updates.

A Santa pop-up shop will be available for youths who want to select a gift for a family member or friend. Director Kathy Feusse said affordable gifts for all ages will be available.

The event is sponsored by the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce.
