Page home total loss following early Tuesday morning blaze

Fire • A Page home is engulfed in flames, Tuesday morning. Page and O'Neill fire departments responded to the blaze

An early morning fire has left three Page people homeless.

The fire was called into the Boyd-Holt 911 Dispatch Center at 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 28.

Page and O'Neill fire departments responding.

Callers to the Dispatch Center reported two people were out of the house, with possibly one person still inside.

The Page Fire Department cleared the residence to make sure the structure was empty.

O'Neill Fire Department arrived on scene around 6 a.m., and set up support, bringing manpower and equipment to the scene.

O'Neill firefighters confirmed the structure had been evacuated and brought the fire under control.

Around 7:30 a.m., the missing man was located at another residence in Page. The fire possibly started in the back of the residence with a common wall to an added-on garage.

The structure is a total loss and is being investigated by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal's Office and the Page Fire Department.

The house is owned by Bob and Shari Ickes of Page.
