Bobcats continue to show improvement, earn medals in six events

Worth a shot • Levi Cronk follows through after tossing the shot put, Thursday, at the Wausa Invite. Cronk finished 24th.

The Bobcat boys' track and field team tied for sixth place, with Hartington-Newcastle, at Thursday's Wausa Invite, held in Pierce. Both squads finished with 35 points.

Pierce ended with 125 points, earning the top team award.

Trevor Thomson continued his winning ways, bringing home three medals.

He topped the field in the 100m and 200m dashes, winning in 11.21 and 23.55, respectively.

The 4x100 relay team - Keegan Smith, Kendrick Schroeder, Trevor Thomson and Jaykwon Petite, ran 45.99. The time was strong enough to earn the silver medal.
