Page community prepares for annual celebration

Plenty of fun and games for all ages are planned Saturday, Aug. 24, in Page.

A trap shoot is planned 10 a.m., on the southeastern edge of the village. Signs will be placed along the roadway, pointing participants in the right direction.

A fee will be charged for each round and the round winner will receive cash.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served at Kountry Korner Cafe during the lunch rush.

At 12:30 p.m., join the fun downtown during cow pie bingo.

Firemen will battle to see which team has the best during a water fight, planned to begin at 1 p.m.

Fire truck rides will be available following the water fight.

Lots of activities will take place in Lamason's Park throughout the afternoon.

At 1 p.m., Coach Dennis Cork will be available for a visit.

Enjoy free watermelon, beginning at 1 p.m., and listen to music from 1 to 5 p.m.


Registration for a cornhole tournament will begin at 1:30 p.m., on the north side of the Kountry Korner Cafe.

Play will begin at 2 p.m. The first three teams will receive a payout.

Bingo and a cake walk will begin at 2 p.m.

From 5 to 8 p.m., pulled pork sandwiches will be served at the Kountry Korner Cafe for a free-will offering.

A road rally will begin at 5:30 p.m. All ages are invited to participate.

Listen to the Prairie Thunder Band, from 8 p.m. to midnight, at Kountry Korner Cafe. A beer garden will be available.

All youth are invited to meet in the park at dark for a movie.

Gun raffle tickets will also be sold, with a drawing planned for intermission of the dance.
