A piece of barn wood from his grandparents' farm, coupled with an old license plate, inspired a Ewing youth's exhibit at the 2019 Holt County Fair. The piece, made by Alec Schindler, was named best in show in the intermediate group of home environment exhibits and earned judge's choice honors. The Holt County Fair Board recognized two individuals during the 2019 fair, for contributions benefiting the fair and 4H and FFA programs. Scott Moore was named a friend of the fair. He spent more than 20 years as superintendent of shooting sports events. Moore built targets, mowed the ranges and set up for practices and events. A 27-year-old Page man appeared in Holt County District Court, July 15 for numerous counts in four separate cases. District Judge Mark Kozisek sentenced Chad W.
