The Antelope County Fair is just around the corner. The fair starts Tuesday, July 30 and will end on Sunday, Aug. 4. The fair will be hosted at the fairgrounds on the southeast side of Neligh. On Tuesday, the fair will start at 9 a.m., with the 4-H/FFA dog show. It will be followed by the cat show at 10:30 am. At 1 p.m., there will be a small pet show. In 2014, a little girl was sitting in the crowd at the Clearwater Rodeo. She watched as the new Miss Clearwater Rodeo, McKenzie Brozek, circled the arena. The young girl thought, "Man, I want to be like her someday: ride a horse, carry a flag, and dress all pretty." Five years later, Ashleigh Nelson's dream has come true.
