    Paddlefish snagging season on the Missouri River opens Oct. 1, and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has several reminders for anglers hoping to fill a tag. During the season, which runs through Oct. 31, anglers may snag paddlefish and nongame fish from Gavins Point Dam downstream to the mouth of the Big Sioux River at mile marker 734.     The Lady Bobcats suffered two losses during a road trip to Stanton on Sept. 25. The Bobcats fought hard, but ultimately lost in two sets to Humphrey Lindsay, 26-28 and 22-25.     Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers announced his office issued cease and desist letters, Sept. 29, to 12 retail locations and franchised stores that sell synthetic THC-containing products in Auburn, Beatrice, Columbus, Plattsmouth, Schuyler, Tecumseh, and York.     A Plainview man facing charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person-1st, a Class ID felony, appeared for arraignment, Sept. 24, in Antelope County District Court. Nicholes T. Stewart, 36, appeared before the Honorable James G. Kube, and pleaded not guilty. Kube ordered Stewart to appear Oct. 29 for a pretrial conference. A jury trial is set for Dec. 9.
