NOTICE TO BIDDERS

HOLT COUNTY, NEBRASKA

Sealed bids will be received by the Holt County Clerk, Holt County Courthouse, 204 N 4th Street, O’Neill NE 68763, until Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., CDT, for bridge rehabilitation, and other incidental work thereto. The sealed bids are to be plainly marked “Attention: Holt County Clerk, Holt County Courthouse, 204 N 4th Street, O’Neill NE 68763, Redbird Bridge Rehabilitation Project, Project No. C-45(575), Structure No. C004558315”.

Bids will be opened on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., CDT, at the Holt County Courthouse.

The work shall include all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment required for the construction of:

Bridge Rehabilitation (650’-0” Steel Deck Girder Bridge)

Copies of the bid documents and specifications are on file and open to public inspection at the following locations:

• Holt County Clerk’s Office, 204 N 4th Street, O’Neill NE 68763

• Bowman, 906 S 26th Street, Lincoln, NE 68510

A set of plans may be obtained at Bowman, 906 S 26th Street, Lincoln NE 68510 for a non-refundable fee of $30.00 for electronic copies or $40.00 for a hard copy.

Proposals must be signed and submitted on the forms furnished with the bid documents. Please only submit Division 5.

Each bidder will be required to submit with their proposal a bid bond or certified check made payable, without condition, to the County Treasurer of Holt County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of their proposal.

The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall furnish within ten (10) days after the award a surety bond or bonds in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. The form of the bonds and surety shall be acceptable to the Holt County Board of Supervisors.

The bidder will include an estimated time of beginning and completion for the project with the proposal. The contractor will be allowed 45 calendar days for completion of the project. The project can begin on or after July 6, 2026. The required final completion date of this project is September 4, 2026.

The Holt County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids to pass upon the regularity, and to waive any irregularities.

Awarding of the contract will be in accordance with the eleven points enumerated under “Competitive Bidding; Consideration”, COUNTY PURCHASING ACT, N.R.S. Sections 23-3101 through 23-3114 and any competitive bidding requirements of Nebraska Statutes 16-321, et. seq., and the Holt County Board of Supervisors will, at their discretion, award based on the lowest or best bid.
