Paws for a cause

The Holt County Animal Shelter hosted a chili cook-off, Sunday, March 29, at Dirty Hands Tap and Coffee in O'Neill, in honor of the organization's 20th anniversary.

Winners included Megan Argueta, second place; Rhonda Hurtig, first place; and Teresa Baker, third place.

Hurtig also won the People's Choice Award.

Eight contestants participated in the event....
