NPPD hosting open house in Clearwater for new transmission line

Nebraska Public Power District will host an open house on March 24 in Clearwater to gather public input for a new transmission project in the area.

NPPD plans to build an approximately 27-mile, 345 kilovolt transmission line to connect the existing NPPD substation in southeast Holt County, to the existing substation northeast of Neligh in Antelope County. The new line will increase the system's transmission capacity to meet increasing demand and further enhance reliability and resiliency in the north central Nebraska area
