Bobcats lose to Wildcats in conference tourney consolation game

The Hartington/Newcastle Wildcats outlasted the Bobcats, 52-43 in a GNAC consolation game played Feb. 5 at Summerland .

The Bobcats first played Laurel-Concord-Coleridge on Feb. 3, in a contest at Plainview. Summerland led most of the game, but the Bears bounced back to knot it at the end of regulation.

Coach Brett Kaczor credited LCC for plays made down the stretch and in overtime.

"It was a heartbreaker for our guys because they put themselves in such a good position through three quarters," he said.
