Fischer secures funding for Avera boiler, water heating upgrades

Avera St. Anthony's Hospital will receive $3.5 million in funding to support improvements at its O'Neill facility, to replace the boiler and water heating systems.

Sen. Deb Fischer made the announcement Feb. 4. Funding was included in Fiscal Year 2026 Labor, Health and Human Services Appropriations Act, which will go to the president to be signed into law.
