Filings for Holt County, local positions recorded

Filings for the 2026 Primary Elections are underway. Holt County Clerk Cathy Pavel reported several incumbents, as well as newcomers, have announced their intentions.

Timothy L. Wallinger has filed to run for the Holt County Assessor.

Shelly Ross announced she will run for the county treasurer position.

Stefani Colfack registered to run for the county clerk position.

Ed Nordby will run for county sheriff.

Steven L. Rasmussen will be running for county surveyor.
