Runners up • The Summerland speech team finished second, Saturday, at the Summerland Invitational. The Bobcat Speech Team tallied 194 points at Saturday's Summerland Invite and finished second in sweepstakes.
West Holt topped the field with 278 points. Creighton finished third and O'Neill St. Mary's fourth.
Shane Kindred claimed the Bobcats lone gold medal in extemporaneous speaking.
One individual and one group earned silver medals.
Braelyn Bergman finished second in persuasive speaking.
The oral interpretation of drama team, comprised of Hudson Gray, Bergman, Kanyon Allemang, Taylen Nilson, and Alvie Bearinger, placed second.
