Powerlifters set Bobcat records

Summerland students Auryana Hernandez and Asher Whiting competed in Saturday's Peru State Powerlifting Meet.

Whiting won third place in the 275-plus weight class with a 1,150 pound total. He set Summerland records with a 495-pound deadlift and 1,150 lb total.

Hernandez won first place in the 198-pound class with an 810 pound total. She set Summerland records with a 315 pound squat, 160 pound bench, and 810 poun total. Her 160 pound bench is also a Peru meet record....
