January is National Radon Action Month, and the North Central District Health Department is urging community members to take action to protect their health and homes. Radon, an invisible, odorless, and tasteless radioactive gas, is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. While it's a serious health risk, the good news is that radon exposure is preventable.
