State's Child Support Center begins 25th year

Nebraska State Treasurer Joey Spellerberg is celebrating the performance of the Nebraska Child Support Payment Center as it begins its 25th year of operation. Nebraska is the only state in which the state treasurer’s office oversees the receipt and distribution of child support payments.

Key performance highlights include:

• Since December 2001, the NCSPC has processed approximately $8.8 billion in child support payments.

• Year-to-date, the center has disbursed $262.2 million through 1,160,555 payments.

• An average of $988,943 in child support payments is processed daily.
