Bobcats outlast Cougars

Summerland boys basketball coach Brett Kaczor thought his team got off to a "fantastic start" against Niobrara/Verdigre last Friday.

And then?

"You could almost see us relax and let them back into it. We got away from our tempo and defense, which led to us being down late," Kaczor said.

The Bobcats narrowly escaped with a 51-49 win.

"Credit to our guys though, they kept fighting and never showed any real panic. They made some really nice plays down the stretch and locked in on the defensive end," the coach added.
