Reliable, Trustworthy Reporting, Capturing The Heartbeat Of Our Community

A group of enthusiastic student pacesetters shared their vision of leadership with the Summerland Public School Board of Education on Nov. 12.
Elementary student council members Makenna Bergman, Shayla Horstmann, Jamie Miller, and LeAnna Mast provided an overview of the organization, what the group has accomplished, and goals for the future.
According to Bergman, 12 elementary students, in grades five and six, comprise the student council.
"Our mission is to make our school a better place by advocating for students, sharing ideas, and implementing them into action," she said.
