A community recognition award honoring Page residents for their volunteerism and community spirit bears the name of its first recipient.
The Terry Bartak Community Recognition Award was presented posthumously to Bartak during Monday's village trustees meeting at the village office.
Bartak, who died July 16, 2023, served about 10 years on the Page Village Board. During his time as trustee, he suggested honoring community members for their contributions.
