Bobcats split matches on opening day of GNAC tourney

The first round of the GNAC volleyball tournament ended with the Bobcats going 1-1.

On Oct. 18, at Elkhorn Valley, Summerland faced West Holt in round one and played a tough match, despite losing in three sets, 23-25, 17-25, and 23-25.

The Bobcats landed 24 kills in the match, led by Caydence Schumacher, who finished with nine.

Kaylee Thiele led the defensive attack with 19 digs. Belle Anson added 16.

In the second match, the Bobcats swept Neligh-Oakdale, 25-15, 25-11, and 25-19.

Allemang finished with a dozen kills. Sanne added 15 set assists.
