The Village of Orchard approved a bid for a Rhino mower when the board of trustees met in regular session, Oct. 13.
Trustees approved a $650 bid from Mike Strope for the piece of equipment.
Trustees also approved appointing a Kearney-based company as the village's engineer. Miller & Associates will continue in the position, following a motion from John Ferguson and second by Tyson Schutt.
Chris Miller was appointed street superintendent. All trustees present approved the motion. Trustee Glen Cheatum was absent.
