Man arrested after giving state trooper a false name

A 40-year-old Grand Island man pleaded not guilty to one count of false reporting - misdemeanor, a Class I misdemeanor, in Antelope County Court on Oct. 1.

David J. Anderson was arrested Sept. 30 after a Nebraska State Patrol officer observed him walking along Highway 14, north of the Boone and Antelope county line.

A farmer met Trooper Daniel Osuna-Salazar and told the officer the individual was now headed east on 100th Street. The trooper was unable to locate Anderson, and drove to Raeville in an attempt to find him. The trooper met another farmer, who said the subject was “hanging around Ra...
