Lady Cats topple Crofton in three-set thriller

Summerland varsity volleyball picked up a home win in a nail-biting match against Crofton on Sept. 23.

It took extra points in the first set for Summerland to land a 28-26 win. The Bobcats had a bit of breathing room in the second set, winning 25-22. The third set required bonus points to secure the win, 27-25.

Caydence Schumacher nailed 11 kills in the match. Abryelle Kester and Kanyon Allemang added eight apiece.

Allemang led the team with 18 assists. Kenzie Sanne added 13 in the win.
