Summerland Public School is in the midst of its strategic plan, involving community members, business leaders, staff, and parents. The district is currently in the second phase of the process, which is being facilitated by the Nebraska Association of School Boards.
A long-term planning process is underway at Summerland Public School.
Earlier this year, the board of education partnered with the Nebraska Association of School Boards to guide strategic planning efforts. The goal: create a roadmap to expand educational opportunities, address concerns, boost achievement and align with the district's mission and vision.
The first phase - Discover and Define - included a district profile prepared by administrators, a visit from NASB members and a planning timeline.
