Clearwater Veterans Park dedication, community meal

After nearly two years of fundraising and community support, Clearwater will celebrate the dedication of its Veterans Park at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18.

The memorial, located at Main and Nebraska Streets, will be unveiled with a short program honoring local service men and women.

What began as Ralph Tichota's vision grew into a community-wide effort. With the help of dedicated citizens, more than $275,000 was raised to create a lasting tribute.
