Kester sets the pace for Bobcat XC runners

On a hot and humid morning, the Bobcat cross country teams ventured to Laurel for a 10 a.m. meet.

Freshman Isabella Kester ran a strong 5K, and finished fourth in a field of 50 runners. Her time, 22:33.00, set a personal record.

Senior Karley Dawkins ended 28thm with a run of 26:46.30, a PR.

In the boys' division, Luke Kester led the Bobcats with a 20th-place finish. He ran 21:21.00, a season record for the sophomore.

Zander Cepel ran 22:57.10, placing 30th, a season record.

Jorden Cox was plagued with leg cramps, but pushed hard and crossed the finish line in 36:14.60. He ended in 59th place....
