Focus on sense of community served at Ewing's Double H Bakery

A lightbulb moment between mother and daughter rose into reality when Double H Bakery opened its doors for business last week in Ewing.
Bakery owner Tamara Heim was working from home one day. The Heims' middle daughter, Clara, was also home and streaming movies.
"I knew this wasn't sustainable, so I asked her, 'Clara, what are we going to do?'" Heim recalled.
Clara's response - bake cookies - was the spark that convinced Heim a bakery could give the family a way to be more involved in the community and provide Clara, who has Downs Syndrome, a place to work and grow.
