Ewing valuation sees a 7% increase, trustees set tax levy request

Ewing village trustees approved the tax levy request and budget for 2026 when they met Monday, Sept. 8. The village's operating budget includes a 4% increase, to $2,025,104.00. The property tax request of $77,298.03 increased 7% from 2025, primarily due to an increase in valuation.

Ewing's valuation jumped 7% to $17,177,339.00. The village's tax rate remains at $.45.

During regular session, Village Clerk Jen Ramold said a drainage survey of an alley next to Double H Bakery was completed by Miller & Associates, but she was still waiting to receive the report.
