Orchard man requests continuance in firearms possession, terroristic threats case

Public defender Patrick Carney requested a continuance for an Orchard man charged with one count of possess firearm by a prohibited person-sub, a Class IB felony; and two counts of terroristic threats. Michael F. Doty, 32, will appear Oct. 1, for a preliminary hearing.

Doty is alleged with possession of a firearm between July 26 and July 29, and during that time period, Doty threatened two individuals with violence with the intent to terrorize another.
