Oklahoma man dies at Plainview ethanol facility

A 31-year-old Oklahoma man was pronounced dead, Saturday, at the Husker Ag ethanol production facility east of Plainview, Pierce County Attorney Ted Lohrberg reported in a press release.

At approximately 10 a.m., Pierce County 911 received a call reporting an individual had passed out in a fermenting tank.

Pierce County Sheriff's Office and Plainview Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the facility at 54048 US Highway 20.

First responders attempted to resuscitate the man, identified as Randall McElroy of Cushing, Oklahoma. McElroy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lohrberg.
