Neligh woman sentenced to repay city for damage to veterans memorial

A 22-year-old Neligh woman will repay $2,500 to the City of Neligh for damages incurred during an October 2024 incident that damaged a veterans memorial in Riverside Park. At the time, two passengers in the vehicle were transported to Antelope Memorial Hospital to treat injuries sustained in the crash.

The Honorable James Kube sentenced Jasmine M. Maughan during an Aug. 12 session of Antelope County District Court.

Prior to sentencing, Maughan’s attorney, Patrick Carney, presented a letter from The WELL, as an addendum to the presentence investigation report.
