Cowboys from across Nebraska and South Dakota converged on Clearwater, Aug. 9, for the fifth-annual Rough Stock Challenge, sponsored by the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce.
The event also culminated a summer of rough stock action in Nebraska's Roughest Stock Series, sponsored by Justin Boots and Rocking Plus Rodeo Company.
Prior to competition, contestants took part in a calcutta, with bidders hoping to capture a share of winnings.
Three riders took home pocket change in bareback competition.
Koltdyn Heath, of Minden, scored 83, good enough for first place. He won $2,303.
