Eighty-six golfers participated in the July 22 women's scramble for breast cancer awareness at Summerland Golf Course.
On Tuesday, July 22, 86 golfers participated in the annual women's scramble to support breast cancer awareness at Summerland Golf Course.
A donation will be made to The Hope Fund at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Since 2013, monies from the fund have assisted cancer recovery and survivorship.
According to hospital officials, The Hope Fund provides items in the appearance center, which offers wigs, hats, head coverings and scarves, in addition to post-mastectomy items; patient snacks in the Cancer Center; lymphedema sleeves; and monetary grants of $250 to help with living expenses,...
