Organizers hope an upcoming emergency medical technician class will combat a local and statewide shortage.
Karmen Rotherham will teach the class, which consists of 110 hours of classroom instruction and 55 hours of lab practice.
Coursework will be completed at the Clearwater Fire Hall.
The minimum age to become an EMT is 18. In Nebraska, individuals are allowed to begin training prior to turning 18, but they cannot take the certification exam until age 18.
