Fatality • Caleb McGargill, of Neligh, died in a single-vehicle accident, June 10, southwest of Ewing on 852 Road, near 505 Avenue. McGargill was driving a truck owned by Pollock Redi Mix. Nebraska State Patrol investigated the accident, with assistance from the Holt County Sheriff's Office and Ewing Fire and Rescue.
A 28-year-old Neligh resident lost his life in a single-vehicle accident that occurred June 10, south of Ewing.
Caleb McGargill was driving a truck owned by Pollock Redi Mix, traveling westbound on 852 Road, near the intersection of 505 Avenue. The vehicle left the roadway and initially entered the right shoulder.
According to an investigator from the Nebraska State Patrol, McGargill then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to veer across the road and off the left shoulder. The truck continued into the ditch and overturned.
