The cost for street repairs continues to increase. Clearwater village trustees held a public hearing, June 3, to address street conditions, the rising cost of paving, and potential funding options for street improvements.
A block-by-block analysis of Clearwater street conditions and potential funding opportunities were presented to the residents, June 3, during a public hearing at the American Legion.
The problem? Approximately 3% - or 11 village residents - attended the hearing to learn about upcoming repairs and increasing costs.
Village officials will mill and pave 1.5 blocks in August. The cost to mill and pave 15,000 square feet will run $130,200, with Knife River doing the work.
