Sanders Ewing American Legion Post #214 Commander, Dennis Ziems presented Don Ruroede with a certificate for 70 years of membership in the Legion. The presentation was made during the Memorial Day program at St. Dominic's Hall.

Ruroede is a 1952 graduate of Ewing Public School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for two years during the Korean War and was stationed at Kimpo Air Base in South Korea.
