Defendant jailed after testing positive prior to court hearing

The Honorable James Kube presided over multiple hearings during a May 28 session of Antelope County District Court in Neligh.

Two individuals appeared for pretrial conferences.

Hunter E. Ashburn Taylor, 30, of Tilden, appeared for a pretrial hearing.

Attorney Nate Stratton told Kube that negotiations were still being exchanged and discovery had yet to be completed. He requested a continuance. Antelope County Attorney Joe Smith didn’t object to the motion.

The defendant will appear July 30 for a pretrial conference. An Oct. 20 trial date has been set.
