Season ends at districts for Bobcat golfers

Bennet Flenniken carded an 85 to lead the Bobcat golf team at districts, held Monday, at Fairplay Golf Course in Norfolk.

Teammates Michael Koenig and Dylan Rotherham both shot 88, Dane Miller ended with an 89, and Sam Cheatum finished with a 90.

Coach Tom Thramer said the meet didn't go as the team hoped.

"Our kids spent a lot of time over at Fairplay and were confident going in that we could play our best golf and that just didn't happen."

As a team, the Bobcats ended seventh.

Thramer offered thanks to this year's seniors for their work the past two years.
